Mauser Manufacturing Co. roots could be traced back to Frank Mauser & Co. Frank Mauser & Co was founded by Frank Mauser in North Attleboro, MA. However around the 1890s, the company relocated to New York NY and renamed Mauser Manufacturing Co. The silversmith manufactured sterling silver flatware, hollow-ware and some vanity items. In around the year 1905, the silversmith acquired J.B. & S.M. Knowles Co.
Mauser Manufacturing Co. officially ceased business in the year 1913 when the company was bought over by Mount Vernon Co. Some of Mauser dies were later purchased by the Wendell Mfg. Co.
